| I use photoshop CS3 and lately, when I tried to use the Type Tool on my images, the font becomes so tiny that it's impossible to see. Is there a setting where you can change that?

The Setting*This page will be undergoing constant improvements, excuse the muddled thoughts. Plot Points will be occasionally added for Events*The world is rotting. In the year 2648, the Technological Takeover has hit the world full-force, a steady build from the days of 16-bit personal computers and monotonous games of Pong. Gone are the days of rolling countryside and quiet suburbs, replaced with thriving metropoleis from coast to coast. The cities have collided and become one - there is no longer a Gotham or a Tokyo, though the ruins of a place called Asbury Park are buried somewhere nearby.
In the sprawling expanse of skyscrapers and neon lights, there are only three places you could possibly be: The City, The Slums, or The Underground. Nobody is quite sure what their own address is, or precisely where they lived, or the former name of a prefecture they may have come to know by a number and a letter.
Populated by people stripped of their civil liberties, and a government stripped of their power, dirty cities are overrun with crime and chaos. Even the prim corporate suits of the cities have skeletons in their closet, some in the literal context of the phrase. The gray area between good and evil has been destroyed long ago. Some said that the ambiguity between the two extremes meant that it is impossible for anybody to be evil but, in truth, everybody is.The StoryIt was the Cyberdolls that broke the people. In the year 2617, Ultimatum Inc. released a technology tentatively named Cyberdolls, advanced personal computers with the body of a human being. In the beginning, they were not marketed to the public; no, they were instead designed to be a 'helping hand' for small business owners and a replacement for human workers in jobs that were excessively dangerous.
They could be designed to do anything, even the most menial of tasks, with a smile. They needed no training, only a simple learning software. They didn't need vacations, or weekends off, or lunch breaks, or paychecks. They were everything large companies wished their human workers could be, and as a result, the Cyberdolls' original duty was trashed and they began filling the places of employment that would have normally been occupied by human beings. Within ten short years, in 2627, poverty plagued the people, all from these pieces of technology. The government did little to acknowledge the suffering of the people.
When the Riot of 2628 occurred, the government was forced to take notice. Over twelve thousand people attended the protest that preceded the riot, and within four hours, violence had broken out and the Ultimatum Inc. building was burnt to the ground with six hundred casualties, 16 of which were picketers. There were two hundred arrests on the scene.
Within the next six months, all Cyberdolls were removed from the workplace, causing many companies to go out of business. The Dolls had their memories erased and were stored in large warehouses, where they were eventually packaged and sold at a high price. The highly illegal sales of Cyberdolls over the black market became popular. The Dolls were often found in chop-shops, their code and personality data rewritten for "a better performance."
It was normal for Dolls to be seen walking alongside their Users on the streets 41 years later. The plight of the people in 2628 was in no way forgotten, and the theft and destruction of the Dolls became common.
The technology that was used to create Dolls was recycled and used to help those in need, or at least that's what the original concept was. Cybernetic arms and legs were readily available for the world's amputees and accident victims, albeit at an outrageously high price. The use of spare robotic parts to modify one's own body became an underground fad soon after, and those that had the money to do so and do so often were called Cyborgs. Since parts cannot be tracked after being attached to a human body, Cyborgs are often frowned upon by authority figures and seen as common criminals.
There are two types of average, everyday citizens: the Rebels or the Corporates. The Rebels struggle through life with little regard from the government. They work in places such as chop-shops, the black market, and the Underground. Many operate cults or gangs, and plan to overthrow the government and "fix things," though nobody remembers the days when "things" were not as they are now.
Corporates, on the other hand, are the loving lapdogs of the government, for the most part. They have jobs in the City, and are the few that can afford the finer things in life, though there are several Corporates that dabble in the darkness that lurks in the underbelly of the city.
The final class of people that wander the city cannot be classified as any sort of human. The Militants, dogs of the military, are no better than the Rebels; they simply have a higher status and more power. Notorious for intricate plans and Rebel massacres, the Militants are a rare breed of people that seem to show no remorse in their attempts to better the world by relieving it of scum.

I used to have a ton of good coloring tutorials but I lost all my bookmarks and thus, all my tuts. :( I'm looking for a good tutorial that makes the red in an image stand out. I think you know what I'm talking about. If not I can try to post an example. Anyway I'd appreciate it if someone could link me to a tutorial like that they might already have in their bookmarks/LJ memories/etc.

| It's been a while since I've made any icons (years maybe), but I've run into a problem I think I used to fix with a border but is now causing me problems. I use Photoshop CS3 and whenever I resize my image down to 100x100 I get this little 1px line around the image that is slightly transparent. Needless to say I don't know what to do about it. Any help would be appreciated, a reference picture under the cut. ( Help me please! ) | |
